INFLUUNT

Influunt is a study of the nude human body and its freedom of movement. The series displays a timed motion capture of bodily movements in their most natural form. The soft edges of each photograph present a very abstract and painterly image, further emphasizing the meaning and continuous motion throughout the series. By intentionally keeping to a limited number of models, I create a tableau of intimate pieces of work. Each model, in their own way, was willing to explore the natural movement of their bodies, all while looking inward while sharing their level of comfort. The organic feeling of each shot gives originality to the individual photo and the lines in the images act as a skeleton holding the frame, resulting in stand alone statue-like figures. These beautiful body movements speak to the idea that all genders are equally able to freely display their nude bodies in motion for art, removing the emphasis of shame, negative thoughts or perceptions about their bodies. This series removes stigma of nudes by studying and displaying the alluring flow of the human body through visualization.
